How long do you wait?

Another "ghosting" yesterday...good communication before....but no answers to text onsite



Seems to be happening more lately?


Wondering how long others give it? Have to admit I am not patient-and am basically down to 15 mins after set time-then I roll...

I haven't been ghosted in quite a long time, but delays sometimes occur.

Life does happen, where a barista is unable to brew a coffee on schedule.
It happens on the other side too, a sudden clusterfark at work or home, resulting in a late cancel/postponement.

Communication is key, on both sides.
With dialogue, a lot more is forgivable.

I give about same time as you, 10-20 minutes, then roll.

That seems perfectly reasonable to me.
If she's that late and hasn't contacted you, then that's on her. You have every right to leave.

If a client is 15 mins late and didn't contact her, then that's on that client. She has every right to cancel.

I agree with everything posted. If running late, I let them know even if I'm only going to be 5 minutes late.
And if I arrive and get no response, I'll usually wait 10 minutes, then send another text. And if no response in 5-7 minutes I leave.

Funny thing is, a few times I've received a txt about 10-15 minutes after I've left with some sort of apology and that they're ready to see me. And then they get mad when I say I'm not there anymore.

or you get the "be a minute" which just wastes another 15...


not sure the ladies quite get how uncomfortable it is sitting in your car in hotel parking lot or on some random street....
