I think it's mostly a matter of maturity.
The older you get, the more appreciative and mellow you get.
The young ones tend to prefer the fast rides at the Western Fair, over the slow milking demonstration at the barn.

I don't think you have to worry about getting older since it doesn't make you less mature.
