I know the internet is a wonderful thing to post something and have it stuck there forever...
I just clicked on my own stats and I can still find all my posts about my reviews, etc.
Is this a concern for you as far as your "house cleaning" goes?
Obviously LE needs to understand that they can find reviews via any members stats if they really want to put down their donuts and timbits and take the effort to search that hard

They will be gone soon, I just started moving things around. I'm trying to do a lot here and the new laws aren't in place yet.
Some reviews will be brought back but I have to read each one to make sure they are virgin white. I don't have the time to do that right now.

If Pamela Anderson is an advertiser here and you post you got a $100 blowjob from her, that makes her a "prostitute" and that means I'm breaking the law and you are breaking the law. You can't purchase sexual services and I can't advertise sexual services for sale.
I can't possibly read 8 years of reviews to judge what is a good and what isn't.

I would like to say Thank You to Gerald & all those people that have contributed to this community over the years

This board has been a great source of information & entertainment even though I have not had much to contribute over the years

A sad day in "democracy" I would say, hope we can continue in some form or another until the inevitable time when these ridiculous laws are struck down :sad3:

Yes, the law came into effect Dec 6, 30 days after Royal Assent. Gerald said what you quoted on Dec 5.

Interestingly NOW MAGAZINE, came out this week with SP advertising as usual.

Apparently NOW is taking the position that an independent SP can advertise, and they can accept advertising from independent SPs.

However, I believe that NOW is not accepting ads from agencies.

I agree with NOW's stance on it, as that's how I read the law myself (not being a lawyer though). As far as I can see, and I posted the relevant parts of the legislation a couple times a few weeks ago, SP's can post their own ads, it doesn't say anything about advertising mediums aren't allowed to accept those ads. And given that Gerald has or has had other things advertised on this site, like bars, stores and photography services, he satisfies the part that says third party services be offered to the general public the same as for sex workers.

But I also agree with Gerald's caution on this as laws are only as good as the court interpretation, and I'm sure NOW has a bigger legal budget than Gerald does to fight it.

If the police charge someone for living from proceeds of prostitution or advertising for prostitution, it would stand to reason that without the charges to be laid there would be less work for police, therefore the fact that the advertising for prostitution exists is generating income for the police department and thus for individuals involved in LE, therefore by charging anyone the police would be breaking the same law for which they are laying the charges, which would seem indicate to me that the new law is BS.
