When you have liberal laws that give the accused more rights then the victim, why is any of this a surprise?

But keep going down a backwards path.

When you have liberal laws and Liberal appointed judges.

I disagree. Nothing we say here will affect her rest.
History shows people getting angry and voicing how they feel is the grease that keeps the wheels of justice moving. It's better than sitting quietly and just accepting the tragedy.
I know nothing we say here will make a difference, but it does show we still have our humanity, are sympathetic and shows all providers in the industry that people do care.
If people here are upset or disturbed by what has happened, I encourage them to share their feelings.

Well said Gerald
I totally agree but I do think it is possible what we say here COULD make a difference. It is in our thoughts and comments that help this tragedy from becoming all too common-place. If this tragedy prevents more tragedies from happening then that is a great thing. The ladies need to be careful out there from these "animals" that prey on them. A board like this helps protect them as they can "band together" and let each other know about the few bad apples out there that ruin it for everyone. If the ladies message each other to comment about a bad get-together then that word goes out which may very well protect the others.
Strength in Numbers

Does this give a predator the right? I don't effen think so!! It's a copp out so authorities can end investigation fast with an easy explanation. .. bullshit!!!
Maybe if these new upcoming ladies were taught some rules and ethics of this industry they could stay safer..
But myself im not blaming her tragedy on anything till more facts surface..
These creeps need to know we stand together as a community. Not that we are victims and stay hush ...
We are practising our safety plans ...and will not tolerate being just another sextrade worker going down in shame..
I still hold my statement on...I hope the boys in prison take care of you..as we know justice will NVR be served..
We are human...we are mom's,sisters, neice, grand children, friends of someone .... And that someone knows the community does care and not a cold horrific lifestyle some see it as...
Im actually pretty shook about this.... To close to home...
I don't care what her activities etc where....a gorgeous young lady with her life infront of her was takin in such a gruesome way

Rip lil lady.. ur gone but not forgotten
Justice for JOSIE!!!

Well said Anika.
This guy was a predator. He has in the past done violent things to other ladies. I can't help wonder if there had not been a publication ban, a life could've been saved.
Josie deserves justice, she was loved by many, and was a human being.
I have been following the case closely, but I still have not heard if there was anything found in the pond they drained.
I am happy that he is off the streets, I just pray that he will be kept off the streets.
RIP Josie❤️

Re: Missing girl

I know many people may not understand this, but this guy was charged based on allegations, and not convicted. There is a big difference!
Unfortynately, due to today?s media, I have known to many people who have had allegations brought against them, the media prints stories about it, and the public feel they have a right to form judgement based only on what they read online. Then, when charges get dropped, or the person is found not guilty, the media does not print that. Therefor, that person?s name, associated with the charges, will be out there, on the internet, forever. This can have very damaging affects on that persons social and proffessional life.
I will put this scenerio out there.
Imagine there is a guy who is unhappy with the companionship from an advertiser on here, so he makes up a story about going out on a date, and then as the evening progressed, he was tied up, against his will, and then assaulted and robbed, and he then goes to the police, who end up charging this woman.
The media does a story, including a picture of the accused, again, based only on allegations. How do you think that would affect that person?s life?
Don?t get me wrong, I am in no way defending the guy in this case, but what I am trying to defend, is the right that every Canadian has, which is to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Another thing to consider, is the accused has the right to a fair trial. With the constant, mostly biased stories in the media, it is becoming more difficult to find jurirs who have not read ir heard anything about the case, causing impartiality issues.
The media, in my opinion, has gone to far in violating this right. And people may say that media have been printing these stories forever, but the big difference today, is the internet. In newsprint, the name may be out there for a day, but as I said, with the internet, it is out there forever.
I believe, and really hope, that one day soon, a lawyer, with deep pockets, will take on the media for defamation of character.
Sorry for the long post, but I just am getting frustrated with the judgements from the court of public opinion.
