Actually he says nothing about that. Saying that it’s theft in no way implies that the cops will be called. If you were to steal $50 from me I guarantee I wouldn’t call the cops. You’re way too clear about what you’re paying for. I learned a long time ago from a wise man about not violating the “need to know” principle. It’s the bird who crows too much who gets plucked. See how that plays out and let us all know.

$ 300 per half hour a few times a shift would generate quite an annual income ! Does Revenue Canada know about current parlour rates ?

Yes it’s his first post but he has been a board member for a couple of years so he clearly didn’t join just to make up a story. There’s nothing outlandish in his post, although there may be some opinion involved. He may be embellishing the facts but you can’t just assume that because you like the attendant. I like the “dirty vag” line. Reminds me of grade 6 :).

Oh tipper, I'll play whatever card I damn well like. I've thought about the potential for all kinds of these scenarios, how they would play out, and what exactly I would do. You're free to your opinion and I'm free to reply in kind. And you're free to reply again. I'm free to ignore your holier than thou opinion, which I likely always will, but I usually like to read and engage in the banter.

You can feel free to ignore my postings, or comment on them as stupid, childish or whatever you like. I'm sure you think I'm an a**hole. I think it's all funny. I get a good kick out of it. If this was actually the exact scenario that played out, I had already thought of the idea of calling the cops after I tried calm reasoning. I just didn't want to comment on it to make me look like a bit of a whiny bitch. Now I don't care.

If this is truthfully what happened to OP, 100%, this is theft. I likely would have called the cops to report the theft and made a thing of it. Even if they laughed at me, at least I would technically have the upper hand in the situation. Or maybe I wouldn't have played it this way. We'll never know.

I enjoy when these posts get a little out of hand.

The parlour simply rents the room for the slotted time no different then renting a hotel room. You get a massage with your room fee.

It’s not illegal to sell said services. Only illegal to purchase them! That’s how f$cked up Canadian law is.

If LE were to show up and ask to purchase said service that would be illegal and breaking the law.

He handed her the money. She didn’t take it without his consent. I believe that rules out theft. It’s weird that you’ve thought a lot about this scenario despite your claim that you’ve never been involved in such a situation. I’ve never really thought about it I’m just responding without thinking in order to fit in lol. I’m like you - I won’t likely read your responses but I will likely read your responses lol.
Don’t worry-I don’t think you’re an asshole. Just tiresome with the tough guy talk.
I also agree- it’s all funny.

Actually no, it's not theft. She didn't steal anything. Did she commit fraud? Quite possibly. Services (massage) were "promised" for a fee. Payment was made for that service. She accepted payment for services (massage only) that were not delivered. That counts as fraud, not theft.

Correct. Theft involves taking something without permission.
